Our Return Policy
We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most items in original condition. Please note:
- Items must be unused, in original packaging with all tags/accessories
- Proof of purchase is required
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged
Simple Returns Process
- Contact Us within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
- Wait for Approval – Our music specialists will review your request within 1-2 business days
- Package Securely – Use original packaging when possible. For delicate instruments like cello bows or brass mutes, add extra padding
- Ship Back – Send to: Melody Shop Returns, 1799 Hide A Way Road, San Jose, US 95129
- Receive Refund – Once we inspect and approve your return (allow 3-5 business days after receipt)
Exchange Process
Need a different size mouthpiece or string gauge? Follow the same steps as returns, but indicate you’d like an exchange. We’ll cover one-way shipping for exchanges of defective items.
Refund Information
Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive and inspect your return. The refund will be issued to your original payment method:
- Credit cards (Visa/MasterCard/JCB): 3-10 business days depending on your bank
- PayPal: Typically within 24 hours
Original shipping fees are non-refundable except for defective items.

Damaged or Defective Items
If your acoustic guitar or brass instrument stand arrived damaged, contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund and cover return shipping.
For international customers (outside our excluded regions), please allow extra time for customs processing during returns.
